Mrs. Vedder received her first Call to Emanuel Lutheran School in Lansing, MI, to teach 1^st grade. She has been at Emanuel since 1997 and has taught various combinations of grades 1-6.  Mrs. Vedder directs the Captiol Choir and has enjoyed coaching basketball and volleyball.

Mrs. Vedder married Fritz Vedder in 1999. They adopted their daughter, Kendall Nicole, in 2008 and their daughter Madelyn Ruth, in 2013. In her spare time Mrs. Vedder enjoys cooking, reading, travelling, playing with her dogs, watching the Minnesota Vikings play football, and spending time with family.

Mrs. Vedder received her Bachelor of Science degree from Martin Luther College in 1997.
